We were looking for a reasonably priced weighted blanket for our 12 year old son. Struggling with a mood disorder and some sensory issues, his therapist recommended we look at a weighted blanket, but the cost was exorbitant. It's at the right price! We bought the Weighted Idea weighted blanket and it was perfect! There are plenty of washable covers, but the inner quilt itself is very nice. We liked that they had multiple heights and weights so we could follow the 10% rule of body weight and find the right height and weight for him. It has helped him calm down during the day and he can also fall asleep faster. Our therapist told us about the feeling of pressure, which is exceptionally calming and helps the brain understand where the person "is" in the world, bringing understanding and calm to the insane mind. We are very grateful for this blanket and can only recommend it!
