The original pump on my '01 SLK 320 was damaged and eventually started to leak coolant. I found this model replacement online and most of the reviews were reasonable. Includes rubber seal and paper seal. I assume the paper seal is for other cross models like in Benz/Daimler times. I had to find a diagram for all the different sized screws to reinstall, but these images can be found fairly quickly with a google search. There are two mounting plate holes on the top of the pump assembly for the wire sensor and vacuum sensor. They were screwed onto the original pump. In this arrangement, the holes are slightly larger in diameter and unthreaded. Instead, I used (2) 1/2" self-tapping metal screws. I had no problems with this solution. Other tradesmen have mentioned drilling them out to a larger threaded stud size, but you don't have to if you don't have those options your tool box. Overall, the pump works as advertised.
