For many connector types this works great but if the connector is a bit larger or has a transformer you will either need to use the bottom connector only or cover at least 1 other connector, often 2. You can make design changes: 1) Make the base triangular and alternate the two surfaces where the fork enters to make more room for odd shaped forks. 2) Reposition the plug so that the transformer does not block other plugs. Even with a flat design, you could fit many more custom connectors on the strip if the connectors were aligned in an alternating pattern with a little more spacing between them.
