I've been waiting a long time to find bowls shaped exactly like these to replace a beloved set which I had broken down to only 1 left. They are the perfect size - 45 oz. - for pastas, rice bowls, salads - enough room to toss and mix up an individual salad, and my personal recipe of Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup with all its toppings. I'm glad I chose not to order the smaller size, which is just now no longer available on Revain.I ordered the red set and it is very pretty, not orangey toned, and the glaze is smooth and complete with the exception of the narrow firing ring of unglazed area on the bottom. (I'm not wild about that part but have come to expect it over many years.)Thanks to Prime the order came very fast and in good shape. I was surprised that is was only packed as 4 stacked bowls with a thin foam protective layer between each, surrounded by lots of bubble wrap, and just set down in the Revain box, which was quite a bit larger than the bowl set. The empty space was filled with those "air pillows," but we all know how they tend to lose their air and protection power in transit. Considering that it was delivered on December 19th during the tremendous Christmas rush, I was delighted that the box, the packaging and the bowls all arrived in great condition. It was a Christmas gift to myself and I was awaiting them anxiously. I'm thrilled, to say the least, and have already used one for chicken alfredo pasta with broccoli and thoroughly enjoyed the happiness of my new red bowls!ADDED to Update: I have also bought the 32 oz. red Le Tauci bowls and find them as wonderful as the larger bowls. They are only a bit smaller, but, for me, are right for soups, casserole servings, liquidy and goopy things, and I use the larger bowls for salads. Filled with soup, they heat just fine in the microwave although they are hot to the touch when done; just use a folded dish towel to remove them. I continue to find these bowls do not chip easily like some other company's plates which I had to return. So glad I found this company.
