Review on Samsung LC24F390FHNXZA: 24" Monitor with FreeSync, 60Hz Refresh Rate, and Eco-Friendly Design by Rogelio Townsend

Pre-ordered at the insistence of a friend; Having just built a new PC, I needed a good monitor for editing and light gaming. I've had less than 12 hours so far so these are just first impressions. The packaging was excellent, well supported by the foam inside the box. It comes with its own HDMI cable. I assembled it without instructions, everything was intuitive and easy without the use of tools. The base and frame have a nice mirror finish and don't pick up fingerprints as easily as you might think. The neck is a bit wobbly so I'm giving it four stars and it's not adjustable which would be nice. Setup was very easy: plug in the HDMI, plug in the power, turn on the computer, wait for the display to turn on automatically, and find the right input. Adjusting the settings is done via a D-Pad on the right rear side of the monitor and is very intuitive. You have several presets that you can scroll through to get a feel for the different modes. You can tell that some thought went into Samsung's design. It's easy to get lost in the action while looking at the curved display that surrounds your peripheral vision. The color is great and the screen is bright. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. 3 months update: still looks great! No problem, I LOVE the screen. It looks great and has very accurate color rendition for the photos and videos I edit. Upgrade to 5 stars now.
