Review on ๐Ÿพ Vetoquinol Renal K+ Potassium Supplement Powder | For Dogs and Cats | 3.5oz Size by Diane Brown

If you have a cat and need potassium supplementation, try this!

Our 18 year old cat had a blood test which revealed low potassium levels (this is due to aging kidney function). Our vet gave us the K+ gel and said it was "yummy" for cats. After some research I came to the conclusion that "delicious" means it was maple flavored! Our Benny is an easygoing guy and easy to accept, but he didn't like the gel. Two weeks later I had to look for something else. I tried this powder. The container comes with a tiny shovel (1/8 t.). Use one scoop for every 10 pounds of cat or dog. I mixed this powder in baby chicken food and gave it to our cat. He ate right! Since then, he has eaten it twice a day for two days. The ingredients include brewer's yeast, which has a kind of cheese flavor, which I think is much 'tastier' for cats. While the gel works great, if you have a cat, try the powder first. You can mix it with wet food, baby food containing meat, some tuna juice or any other liquid/wet food that your cat will eat instead. He's a little more alert since he's been on the supplements. Note: Do not give your pet this dietary supplement unless they need it. Too much potassium causes other health problems.
