This skull is quite detailed and comes with a chart to help you find something if you're not quite sure. I wouldn't say they aren't as good as the ones you've seen in the anatomy lab, but the holes are a little different. As long as you learn, you will still be able to understand things. There is probably a cheaper version but I went with the more expensive one as you get what you pay for. I use this in dental school. The lower jaw spring is broken so I carry it in pieces and the hooks holding the skull are so hard to turn. I wish there was a "capsule" to place the temporomandibular joint in, but a very smooth socket. I painted mine a bit. This material is also VERY sensitive to temperature changes and shrinks like no other.
