This product allows me to run multiple monitors from a laptop that doesn't have a "dock port" or multiple video outputs. Although there are 3 video outputs (1 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 VGA), only two video signals are supported - either 2 "digital" signals or 1 VGA and one digital signal. However, if you use a laptop screen, you can get a three-screen display. The price was lower than many other brands that claim to do the same. I haven't checked the refresh rate of extended screens. I don't use this computer for gaming, so I have no idea how suitable it is for such purposes. It works great for email and websites.
