This listing is so confusing - listing is for double-sided adhesive tape, but many of the reviews/pictures are for velcro tape. Wasn't 100% sure which I was going to get. In addition, there is conflicting information regarding the double-sided tape - a couple places it says 0.5 inch, but some of the pictures look bigger and then in one place on the page it gives width at over 1 inch. The product I received ended up being double-sided tape, 0.5" wide. I've used it on a couple of projects (attaching a wire shelf onto the shower wall, which fell off less than 10 minutes later; I re-stuck by using this tape on top of the non-removable adhesive that came with the shelf). I'll be curious to see if it really does support 5lb, and if it really does come off without damage (on the types of surfaces they "approve" its use for).2-month update: I've used it on (smooth) stone and finished wood. Ended up having to replace it already on most of the items I've stuck to as the adhesive started to get a bit loose/saggy, or just plain fell off. It does come off of those surfaces clean and does not leave marks, though. So for anything you want to stick that is lightweight and you only want to stick for a short period of time, or want to be able to remove easily, this is a decent option. Command strips seem to have better long-term staying power, from what I've experienced.
