Great jacket but wish the velcro covered more surface

Bought an orange size 5XL for our 34 inch chest German Shorthaired Pointer. tighten so tight. It's thin, but keeps your back quite warm. The elastics were a little tight under his hips so I cut them off. It completely covers his back, over his tail as in the picture. does not rub under the armpits like many other jackets because the middle section is narrow.
