Review on BUD Industries AC 431 Aluminum Chassis by Charles Fowler

Cone boxes have been around for many years. I had an old 4 x 6 x 2 inch box I bought at a garage sale that I was using for another project. When I saw this box, I immediately noticed that these newer boxes have flanges on all four sides, while the old box only had flanges on the shorter ends. I'm using this box as a cap for a capacitor board on a Fender style guitar amp, so I really don't want flanges everywhere. I ordered it anyway and just used my wire cutters to take out most of the flanges (leaving a little for strength) and the box worked perfectly. This box is very well made and quite stable. button quality.
