I bought this to keep my pup in the kitchen and was very impressed with the durability and quality of this product. He jumps up, but after a week he hangs on and doesn't move. I just used double sided tape but I screwed in the screws and it still holds. Assembly was easy and even with the short extension it is solid. Great design. The locking mechanism is easy to use: you have to press the top latch and lift it slightly on the guide and it opens with one hand. Has auto latch and auto close capabilities or can be left open if required. The only downside is that a fully open gate is only slightly over 90 degrees, but the trade-off for automatic closing and locking is well worth it. RVKitman Approved.
