I had a thumbnail that was "hanging" on my thumb and it was very painful to pull my thumb off so I didn't want to do it but I was afraid the nail would be left unprotected and vulnerable To be brought down as I got on with my days. This worked to cover my nail and keep it from "protecting" my thumb from coming off my thumb, like if it were to come loose, it would have hurt a lot since it was well below the end of the thumb before the nail line. I'm fortunate to have a job that doesn't require a lot of writing and/or note-taking. I don't know how easy it would be to write while picking up the nail guard. It has been a bit difficult for me to work with my finger guard at my job and I work part time as a parcel deliverer handling small packages.
