Review on American Century Investments by Jonathan Yang
American Century Investments is a mutual fund company based out of California.
We had a problem getting a contract signed because we had used American Century Investments as our investment advisor and we weren't getting any feedback from them. They didn't even respond to us until after we contacted them directly. We would have never known about this if we hadn't called them. The guy who answered the phone was rude and unhelpful and hung up on us. It took two calls to get him to speak to us again. He promised us he'd call us back and he never did. If we hadn't called them, we would have been paying too much money into their fund. We ended up finding another investment advisor and we will no longer use American Century Investments as our investment advisor.
Pros
- It made it easy to track the progress of the work and gave me an accurate time estimate.
- I liked how the person answering the questions was very helpful and kept me engaged through the entire interview process.
- I liked how easy it was to share my notes and results through text messaging and email.
Cons
- The website could be better designed to make it easier to navigate through the system.
- The text messages were not returned promptly or in a timely manner.
- I was charged extra for each step I completed.
