Clarity and quality is what you would expect for the price

Let me start by saying that I was not paid nor compensated for this review. I have installed 5 camera systems since 2013 and this is the best value for money. I used to be an EZvision snob but I switched to Hikvision and Annke. Of the brands mentioned, EZvision has the cheapest systems, HIKvision has the most expensive, and Annke sits in between with all the options from the bigger brands. I have 5000 square meters. Outdoor CAT6 cable for installation. Having learned how to install my own connectors, I did not use any of the 50ft cables that came with them (although they are excellent quality). All my cables are in the attic. The POE goes into my basement where my router is. This NVR does not come with a built-in WIFI card, but I always prefer wired Ethernet in surveillance systems. You can buy a cheap access point if you need to install it remotely from your router ($25 here at Revain). Setup was a little tricky for my use as I didn't connect each camera directly to the ports on the back. After getting the IP addresses of each camera, configuring the ports, and registering the cameras with the NVR, it took me about 20 minutes to set up the software. There are many features built into the NVR, but I chose to just use surveillance with no motion detection. What impressed me the most was the night vision. I can easily see 100 feet down my side yard to our community driveway. We look at the cameras on a cheap 1080p monitor, but note that this system is 4k resolution when recording (much better for reading license plates and recognizing faces). If you export the file to a 4k capable device you will be amazed at the clarity. In addition to the HDMI monitor, we access the cameras via our Android phones using the Annkevision app. The app isn't as flexible as the ones I've used in the past, but it has all the features you need for remote monitoring. Exterior and interior of your attic/basement. If not, they are less than $10.
