Review on Cosmo 668ICS750: 30 in. Stainless Steel Island Mount Range Hood with 380 CFM, Soft Touch Controls, Permanent Filters, LED Lights, Tempered Glass Visor by Michael Welborn

Stoves, ovens and hobs require two parts.

First of all, this hood looks fantastic. This is a well built and high quality product. Like most quality products, it's not overly heavy but is a good weight. If you plan on installing this yourself over the weekend, make sure you have a helper with you. You will NOT be able to do this alone. I ended up using 3 people: one on each side to help install the mounting bars on the mounting plate and one person to lift the hood with our third hand (the third hand is just a long arm with a jack, so we didn't do it (no need to try to lift it during assembly). Also, make sure the mounting bracket is level (I had to remove mine because it's crooked due to my ceiling being crooked). There is no alignment function on the mounting plate. You need to use spacers to level it. Another suggestion is to make sure you have at least 4 to 8 inches of space between the sleeve and the blanket. This means you need to use additional mounting brackets (everything is included which is great!). I wanted mine to be as high as possible to give me a less obstructed view. Mounting the unit high combined with the low ceiling gave me only about 2 inches to make the connections (luckily I have an attic and was able to do most of the work in the attic) and lift the inner sleeve onto the mounting plate. The LEDs are great. The display is very cool. And the suction power is amazing! We threw papers under him and he sucked them to the bars. There is obviously a noise when sucking. It's louder than my bathroom fans when it's high. Of course, if you decrease the fan speed, you reduce the noise. Really only one thing to worry about: My fan sounds like there's paper (or something) in it. then). It reminds me of when I was young and tied a baseball (or playing card) to my bike to hit the spokes and make a clicking noise. It was pretty cool on my bike but not so cool on the hood of my house. written instructions and troubleshooting suggestions. But they don't solve this problem. Why am I giving this 3 stars?
