Like many, after "upgrading" to Win!0, I had problems with the optical drive (which I rarely use) and after installing Linux Mint, it improved situation not. So I bought this Ultra Bay and installed it with an SSD. This is the most useful addition to this laptop. It fit like it was factory designed. It snaps firmly into place and is ejected with the factory ejector lever. The check engine light was also a nice afterthought. I mounted the drive in Linux Mint and it works like a dream. Data transfer is good, no problems. The drive is very tight and thanks to the rubber "screws" and the flip latch on the back of the drive it fits perfectly. I'm very happy with how this compartment works in the T430.
