You wouldn't even know it was there (Thinkpad T430)

I absolutely hate the lack of installation instructions. When looking at the contents of the package, everything was clear. I like that it was very easy to install. I like that there is no screwing. Simply insert the 4 rubberized end caps, place the hard drive in the basket and fold down the hard drive lock - done! I converted my CD tray into a caddy. I like its transparency and density. It fits perfectly, the edges are even, there are no gaps or offsets. I swear you didn't know my laptop has…

Great stand for a wide range of laptops

On my T430 this stand fits perfectly like a glove - no extra space or wobbling. I move my laptop around quite a bit and the cart itself seems pretty solid, I haven't had any issues with it for three months. The drive seems just as nimble as with a traditional SATA cable. I had no problems with Debian 9 or Ubuntu. Worked immediately. It is worth noting that there is a hard drive indicator on the side. It's not distracting, but I wish it were green to match the Thinkpad aesthetic. If you need a…

The best addition to my T430

Like many, after "upgrading" to Win!0, I had problems with the optical drive (which I rarely use) and after installing Linux Mint, it improved situation not. So I bought this Ultra Bay and installed it with an SSD. This is the most useful addition to this laptop. It fit like it was factory designed. It snaps firmly into place and is ejected with the factory ejector lever. The check engine light was also a nice afterthought. I mounted the drive in Linux Mint and it works like a dream. Data…

available I do not know how to answer the question of how many stars to give this thickness. It's not bold at all, does that mean it's 1 out of 5 fat stars? You don't necessarily want it to be thick lol, you want it to be the exact shape and size to fit your laptop's compartment. and in my case it happened 100% on my Thinkpad W520. So I recently upgraded my Thinkpad W520 laptop with an SSD leaving me with a 500GB hard drive on my desk and I thought. Hmm, maybe I could pull out a very rarely…

If your system doesn't recognize it, read this.

First let me say that the caddy was purchased to store a 200GB SSD for my Lenovo T430, i5-3320M. I'm running Windows 10 with "BIOS" updated from Lenovo's website, version 2.79 released on February 27, 2019. Without upgrading the RAM to 16GB, that's headroom. My first attempt to install a new SSD was unsuccessful. The hard drive was not recognized and the device was not visible, so there is no way to update the driver. I went to the Revain forums and reviews and read about failed devices. If you

One of the best cheap Ultrabays I've seen

Much better than the previous HDD Caddy Ultrabay I bought. I really should have just spent the extra $6 and gotten this one from the start. I like that it comes with rubber feet. It's negligible and they're certainly cheap, but I can't express how happy I am that I don't feel my W520 vibrating when I'm watching videos from my drive, unlike another caddy I'm modifying had to stop the vibrations. This bay still has more ejection resistance than the DVD drive that came with the unit, but honestly…

Something is wrong with the hard drive basket.

This manufacturer is trying to reinvent the wheel and frankly it's ridiculous. Fix the drive with 4 screws. Super simple, very secure, your drive won't get pushed around, it won't come loose and the pins won't bend or damage from movement. This manufacturer has instead opted to use a piece of plastic that you fold down to snap the disc in place. Note that this plastic bar doesn't snap or click, it just folds up and down. The worst part is that -Due to the construction of the plastic attachment,
