I used this product once as soon as I took it out of the box. I tried to cut potatoes, it was difficult to push the potatoes onto the blade (requires a lot of pressure) but it worked, the last piece (when most of the potatoes were already cut) always got stuck in the blade. When I tried to pull this disk out (and just cut it with a knife) I got a deep cut on my thumb. Then my husband tried it, this time with onions. Same result. It was too difficult to get the onion to slide down the blade despite varying amounts of pressure, and the onion always got stuck on the last bite. and the force required increases the risk of injury (which I did). I'm not sure if all mandolins are the same as this was our first but we're just going back to the good old knife which is a lot safer to use.
