I received this scanner, downloaded the online manual for it and tried to read the manual. I think the instructions should have been written better. I'm sure the people who wrote the guide know the subject well. However, I think a newbie who has never used a comparable device needs and deserves more explanation. Now to the scanner itself. I had no problems installing it (my computer is running Windows 10) and the scanner works. However, when I scan color photos in color mode, the scanner I got adds a kind of reddish (or pinkish) tint to everything. And when scanning black and white photos in black and white mode, the results are absolutely useless (sometimes "terrible" images). Luckily, when scanning black and white photos, you can use grayscale (or maybe color) mode, which is what I do. If correct color reproduction is a big deal, I don't think this scanner is the right buy. Maybe I should return this scanner and buy a scanner that gives better color reproduction? On the other hand, this scanner works. decisions decisions.
