instead of several sockets and power packs, it uses one socket and charges 10 usb cells. It actually has enough power to provide at least 2.4A to all ports ((120W/5V)/10). Some of the other options have the same number of ports but don't output enough power to be used simultaneously. The only minor downside is the dividers, they don't support a full size iPad but they do fit in rugged cases for 2 Samsung 8.0 tablets and 2 other small tablets. Definitely recommend, seriously consider buying a second one (especially since most USB-charged devices no longer come with power adapters). Edited 3/8/21: I still love it and I also bought a second unit to use in another room.
