Review on πŸ“± Waterproof Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - SPIDERCASE Shockproof Snowproof Dirtproof | Black/Transparent by Scott Ward

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really waterproof case. Thick. So far, so good.

There is a lot to like about this case and some considerations for using this case: 1. Submerged an empty case in water and it worked as expected. While the Note 9 should be waterproof to 1m (3ft) with its IP-68 compliance, you wouldn't want to test that on a phone that costs that much. I bought this for phone use at pools and boating especially for those who are sometimes awkward changing from dirty for the trip I was taking. Never had an accident, but there was a good mood.2. Thick plastic around the phone with a rubber edge is a minus. Pro is that I feel the phone is well protected from all sides. A small minus is that he is so fat. Cannot be easily used with a Bluetooth keyboard as it is too thick for the bracket slot. The view rests on the side buttons when you lay the phone on its side.3. The thick plastic around the edges makes it difficult to charge wirelessly in the charging station. Put the phone on its side. No big big. However, you should avoid wired charging, as this wears out the thick connector quickly and makes the case waterproof. This is a known compromise, so the stars are not removed.4. It is more difficult to insert things into this case as the access holes are narrow/long. Some forks still work well, while thicker forks don't. A known compromise for the protection this case offers and hey we live in the wireless age anyway so no stars. I like having a phone with a variety of ports as they are convenient, but for everyday use I can get away with wireless charging and a wireless headset. Since DeX has been a bit of a disappointment for me on the Note 9 so far (and I had really high hopes), the final reason I had to connect daily never materialized. What's really appealing about the IP-68 and Wireless complaint is that the ports and the entire phone remain rough and mostly free of scratches/other damage. I've had phones in the past where this has become a real problem. When you're spending that much on a smartphone, you definitely don't want ports that don't work when you really need to access them, and that's the reason for the exchange.
