Shortly after I bought my first PS3, I went to my local store (a place that bills itself as "the best place to shop") to buy an HDMI cable to buy. There, the clerk spent ten minutes trying to talk me into buying an $80 Monster-brand HDMI cable. Fast forward and it seems crazy that I just bought five $12 cords. I use them to run from mini consoles to HDMI switchers and from switchers to HDMI splitters. I've only used three of these so far and they all work great. I know Monster brand cables are great, but I'd rather have 35-40 of them.
