I originally bought a double flare tool from a store with the initials HF. Like many others it kept sliding, I couldn't get a double exposure, only one exposure. Tried everything but couldn't stop slipping. I bought this tool, got it today and tested it on a 3/16 inch brake line cut. It held onto the pipe easily (same pipe I tested the HF tool on) with the adapter that came with the HF tool. , but always slipped). Kept simple. I made the first torch, removed the adapter, made the second torch without going all the way until I felt I had torched enough. Well done! It honestly looked better (thicker rim) than the factory flare on the pipe I tested. If you need to flare up pipes, this tool is for you. However, if you want to double flare, you will need adapters. I'm not sure if you can buy them separately, but even if you have to buy a cheap HF tool to get them, it's worth it. Planning to take full advantage of it this weekend when I get my brake line done!
