This will be the best filter media you will ever use. I have a 125g community tank with African cichlids and one of them has crystal clear water. Every time I service the canister filter I just swap out the foam pads and then rinse the chemical cleaning bag in some tank water and I'm good to go again. I have been using this product in my aquarium for 4 years and I typically use it for 6-8 months before I start to see any deterioration in the water quality. It's much better than changing coal carriers every month. chemi-pure is an excellent product with excellent results.
