This watch is the only one that can find a replaceable battery (CR 2025) I have a 1973 watch and none have it me as impressed as this one. I had a name brand watch that failed (water got into the watch, the strap cracked, the outer case was so scratched and dented that it became unusable, the dial was cracked or scratched so badly you couldn't read the dial). ie e.) With little maintenance this watch will last a long time. I have given this watch as gifts to family and friends with no problems who have been amazed by its quality and size. I hesitated to write a review on this watch for fear it would increase its price because it is better than Timex, Casio and others. Stauer watches are only good as jewelry (complete scrap)
