This is an officially boxed Kohler product. The Revain was $40 less than the Kohler's list price. I'm in my 60's and installed this kit myself after watching a great Kohler video and following the great instruction manual that came with it. All parts are included except I had to replace the flexible water inlet hose as it was missing a washer. The kit includes a washer and lock nut if you have a metal water line. I found the new kit parts better than the original Kohler parts in my Kohler Rialto toilet. New parts have less plastic. Press firmly on the inflation valve's black rubber grommet while tightening the hex lock, but. Do not press on the top of the inflation valve assembly or you may damage the plastic parts. I found the rim feed hose to be very easy to install after submerging it in near boiling water for a few minutes. First I put it in the hole in the rim of the toilet, pinch the end, push down and then twist tight. I then slide it over the inflation valve and hold the inflation valve securely (don't press on it or you may damage the plastic inflation valve). Turn the hex lock nut and water supply nut counterclockwise to tighten. I was also able to pull off the toilet handle that caused the damper to stay up. I was very happy to be able to do this plumbing repair myself! My old parts had a cracked float ball, rotted fill and drain valve gaskets (resulting in oily residue in the toilet and tank), and a cracked fill valve.
