Not for Grand Cherokee with child seats

This pet fence looked promising. Even one review said it was a perfect match for our 2015 Grand Cherokee. I believe if you have a medium to large sized dog this statement can be considered somewhat true. The fact of the matter is, our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland doesn't have tilt-up headrests in the second row -- they're fixed vertically. The position of the buckles on this barrier will surely damage the leather seat backs and headrests over time, especially as they MUST be snug to prevent slipping. There just isn't enough room for buckles without the seat/headrest foam compressing and the fabric/leather stretching. The second reason this barrier doesn't work for us is that the child seat's center anchor point is behind a flap on the floor (which is vertical). toward the seat backs when the seats are folded up). The center bar of this guard (which coincides with the top of the seatbacks) prevents access to the center child seat anchorage from the second row of seats, while the bottom bar prevents access from the cargo area. Less important, but annoying, is the top bar, which significantly, if not completely, limits rearward visibility. The bar is in MY configuration, seen from the driver's seat, right in the middle of the rear window. Others look different depending on your seating position. For me this was not a determining factor, but it should be considered by those who own a 2011+ Grand Cherokee. Finally the distance on the sides between the poles and the window/window frame is about 4 to 6 inches depending on where you measure. Without modification, small dogs/cats SHOULD be able to overcome this barrier in grande. Medium and large dogs will not fit through when securely fastened. As one buyer here said, yes the hardware on this unit is cheap and it's clearly not a high-end $200-$300 barrier. However, I believe that with the right vehicle this would be a great cost effective solution for pet owners driving a 2011+ Grand Cherokee WITH NO CHILD SEATS. I returned this barrier but if not for the need to move the child seats. Sometimes I would save it and make wings/extensions that attach to the sides. Nice concept for some cars and the quality matches the price. If you have the time to try the light first before there is a real need to use it and your car's dimensions can accommodate it, I would recommend this product. I give 4 stars for the low and reasonable price and good overall design for most medium and small SUV. I only give one star for the location of the buckle.
