Review on Mamenchisaurus Huayangosaurus Tsintaosaurus Prehistoric Toys: Unleash the Extinct Wonders for Playtime Excitement! by Randy Bin

great sculpture, slightly disappointing finish

I was expecting the action figure to be the same size as most other action figures (Safari ltd Microraptor included for scale). Also due to the very small size the limbs were quite wobbly in places - the wings and tail are the most obvious but the legs would also need to be forced to get them back into a decent standing position (even after that they still fall into place) . face sometimes). All in all I'm still very happy with the quality presented (the sculpt includes a third toe tucked under the wing and the tail has scientifically extended two feathers at the end which is great). The painting also leaves a lot to be desired, especially on the face (the eyes are not even, and the blue color with artificial iridescence is very strong, so that it overlaps the sculpture in places). It's mostly just bean counting because overall it's a really good product. Overall I'd say it's great for science minded kids and general action figure collectors. I'm a huge fan of PNSO and just had slightly higher expectations than the typical manufacturer - their large 2020 Microraptor release is absolutely phenomenal and they tend to have very high quality sculpts.

Pros
  • Action Figures & Playsets
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...
