I decided to spend the extra money on a good HDMI switch and I think it was worth it. I use this in my classic gaming setup. Connected to it are the NES Classic, SNES Classic, Sega Dreamcast (with Pound Technologies HD Link cable) and RetroTINK 2x (line doubler that outputs 480p over HDMI). First, it's MUCH smaller than I thought it would be. be about 1/4 tall but is a good weight and well built. I don't like that the exit is on the side but that's ok. It handles all my HDMI sources with ease, including the slightly odd Sega Dreamcast output. It also does an excellent job of switching to new inputs when they are enabled. Basically it doesn't matter what is activated, it just always switches to what you last activated. This is very useful as RetroTINK outputs a video signal regardless of whether it has a video input or not. So I was worried that it would always stay with RetroTINK. Although this is not a problem. When you turn on the NES Classic, it switches to this. No problems with input lag. Everything seems fine. The power supply is very small and does not take up any additional space on your power supply. Aside from the output port being on the side, there is nothing wrong with this switch!
