I have been searching and searching for a hitch for my Craftsman LTD 3000 lawn tractor that will allow me to fit both a pintle hitch and a ball hitch. It was the solution. Very solidly made and fits my lawn tractor perfectly. It comes with a very strong bolt to attach to the tractor bolt hitch hole, but you will need to drill a few holes to attach the top support bracket. I also added two extra screws to attach the bottom of the bracket (not too hard to drill with a step drill). Now I can easily attach a hitch-type shredder/chipper, a hitch-type wagon, or a ball-type log arch. Slots in the top bracket allow for a very nice attachment of ball hitch security chains. The buoyancy of the ball is correct and allows you to hook the pin with a choice of two different heights. A 3/4" shaft hitch is included and must be purchased separately.
