Clips are strong and good quality + part of the stand clip is covered with plastic. It protects the armrests of my expensive office chair. Before installing, I loosened the bracket screw and rotated it 90 degrees. After installing it on the armrest of the chair and installing the mount vertically, I took measurements and made a HOTAS mount that slides over the plate. Velcro is also needed to attach to the hand, otherwise the frame will rotate forward when you press the HOTAS. One thing is certain: the mount will survive a HOTAS installation.
