I bought a ViewSonic VA2055SA monitor to upgrade an old 1366x768 monitor of the same size. ViewSonic's best 1080p resolution is very evident (if you're thinking of going from a 720p monitor to a 1080p monitor, do it), and I'm happy with the image quality. However, I have two problems with this monitor. First, the monitor setup is a bit frustrating. The monitor's buttons are identical (except for the power button, which is slightly larger than the rest) and they're not clearly labeled. A few dimples on the monitor show which buttons are which, unless you're in a well-lit area. space or by lighting the monitor, you cannot see these indentations. Second, this monitor has significant ghosting. If you use it for gaming or movies, it might not be ideal. Otherwise, everything should be fine for everyday use. One last detail that you might miss just looking at the image of the monitor: there is a sticker with ViewSonic birds on the top left of the bezel. If you want a 100% plain black monitor, that might bother you, but that's not a problem for me.
