My little Spider-Man fan loved his shoes and my mom was impressed. Velcro is a plus, they are durable and very comfortable. He wore them all day while walking around Walt Disney World and never complained about sore feet the first day he wore them. Even Mickey and Goofy were impressed. Mickey was throwing webs and deconstructing Spiderman moves with my son which absolutely made his day! Important note, we have expensive designer shoes like 3 pairs of ASICS and 2 pairs of New Balance that we also wear but they are just as good as these. I would say they are a bit bigger than ASICS but that doesn't matter. We wear 1.5 in ASICS, size 1 in these. We ordered them in a size 2 (red) and they are still large so we look forward to wearing a size 2 if they fit.
