I've finally made the transition from thinking you need heavy trail running shoes to these lightweight shoes and I'm so happy I did. I've been wearing regular Saucony sneakers for a while and they fit me really well. These trail running shoes are no exception. They have great ankle support and the GTX is no joke. I haven't ridden downhill much, but an extra 1/2 size (12.5 for me, a rarity!) is very helpful. I did one 6 mile and two 10 mile hikes three days after I got them and I had no leg fatigue or discomfort. I am so happy with these shoes and can't wait for many more miles of outdoor fun in them!
