Buy the right steering lever now!

This track is a work of art. When you take it out of the box, its beauty will amaze you. You've built a nice piece here. It's forged, so it's really heavy. The adjustment sleeve works perfectly. I installed one on my jeep and the other on my buddy's jeep. Before installing, apply some anti-seize to the threads of the adjusting sleeve. Your leveling specialist will thank you. A note you will find most helpful. To do this, buy a Rough Country 6610 folding stand. I wasn't aware of this, but after doing a lot of research on the Jeep forums, I found that the track and grip must be the same height or your steering will wander all over the road and react very slowly. Mine was unsafe at freeway speeds. I bought the RC 6605 grip but it was still too short. I called Rough Country and the guy didn't help. He said 6605 should work. Well it isn't. The mount that comes with this rail is well made and lowers the handlebar mount 3-4 inches. This is also a good replacement as the jeep bracket is rusted. This mount is solidly built. I recommend using new flange bolts on the vertical bolts that mount up to the frame. We have a Farm & Fleet store that sells these class 8 flange bolts by the pound so you can get new bolts for less than 50 cents each. The 6610 sets it back the same amount by aligning the crank and rail. You should state in the ad that this is what you need. They tell you what you need and then they don't tell you what. 6610, 6610, 6610. Good luck removing the old link. it's a pain If you break a bolt in the lower axle mount, which you probably will, don't worry. Take a 4-1/2 inch angle grinder and cut through the screw to get the old rail out of the way. Then tap out the flag nut. The new guide comes with a nut and washer, although you'll spend a good thirty minutes installing it there and using a socket wrench. Hope this helps you all. Much luck!
