I have a Honda Civic that uses quick disconnect fuel lines on the fuel rail. The car suffers from an extended start time after being idle for several hours. I suspected the problem was excessive fuel pressure drop. I was able to use this gauge kit to prove that the problem was an excessive pressure drop and that it was caused by a fuel pump or pressure regulator check valve leaking about a 1lb pressure drop every 2 minutes when the engine was shut down. As for me, I will replace the entire fuel pump assembly (which includes the check valve and regulator) after proving the problem and which part is defective on my car. Honda wants $300 for its own fuel gauge kit that uses quick disconnects. Instead, I spent $25 on this kit and used a 5/16 rubber fuel line and hose clamps to get the same test result.
