About 2 months after we moved to another house my wife noticed that the kitchen floor was a little damp near the sink/dishwasher. Wiped a small puddle, but it was after dinner again. Looks like it came out of a dishwasher so I took it out, yes it's dripping from that valve. The seal must have been broken. I was thinking of a fill valve so I had to do a bit of internet digging to find out it's called a water inlet valve. Great fit; works perfectly; my drip stain solved. I'd say the install difficulty is around a 2 out of 5 - not that bad. I got the dishwasher out of the closet and still think there was an easier way to get to the plumbing. (In general, dishwashers aren't as heavy as household appliances.) It was also a way to confirm where my water was coming from and gave me access to dust and cobwebs that would normally be invisible. However, it can be inserted from the front without pulling out the entire device. Search for the part on YouTube; There are a few videos showing the procedure.
