Review on πŸ–₯️ Eagletec K104 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo- Slim, Flat & Quiet, Ergonomic Full Size Keyboard & Portable Mouse for Windows PC (Black) by Victor Correa

Worst computer hardware I've ever used.

BUY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BRAND. The keyboard is the worst keyboard I've ever used. Not only does it feel weak, but the keys get stuck all the time, especially my left ctrl key. When I say I'm stuck, I mean I have to stuff something under the key and pull it out again. It's been like this since day one, nothing has been spilled or stuck the keys. I often skip keystrokes because the design forces you to hit a dead center key to successfully press a key to enter, so all those edge hits don't register as you type. This happens especially often with the "N" and "I" keys, although according to statistics, "E" is used most often, that is, it is not caused by wear. There are times when a key is entered twice even though it was only pressed once. After a few months of use, when I type, I can hear the springs thumping like it's a twenty-year-old mattress; it's anything but quiet as advertised. I still use it almost every day, in fact I'm using it right now in the midst of a ton of missed inputs (this sentence alone had three missed keystrokes) because I don't want to spend another thirty bucks on another wireless kb. +m combination. Not a day goes by that I don't regret spending ten or twenty dollars more on a better product. I had to go back after a few months and edit this review because the mouse is terrible too. I didn't have any problems at first, but over time the scroll wheel started scrolling in the opposite direction. Not only that, but that after I let it scroll in the intended direction, releasing my finger from the wheel causes it to scroll a few lines in the opposite direction. Absolutely annoying. I went as far as opening this thing up, which in itself is a silly design because you have to remove two gaskets to get to the hidden screws. It turns out that the body holding the wheel allows for a lot of back and forth movement, causing the entire wheel to wobble, which in turn triggers the scroll device when the wheel is barely nudged. After melting that part of the case and making it a bit tighter, but not so tight that I couldn't use the center button, it seems acceptable. It's completely ridiculous that I had to spend half an hour of my life modifying this crappy product to make it work properly.

Pros
  • Keyboards, mice and accessories
Cons
  • Out of fashion
