I got this hat as a Christmas present. What a treat. I've been using a satin (not silk) cap for years and have had to replace the caps I was wearing. My husband gifted me this hat lined with REAL SILK (not synthetic). I have to say this cap is VERY comfortable and holds waist length hair with ease. It stays in place and the strap is soft and quite tight. There is no elastic to go bad (my old hats stretched where the elastic is inside). I love this cap and will be adding more so I can rotate it. I always wash them thoroughly and let them air dry. The rubber strap that comes with it is nice too. This cap came with a silk square attached inside so you can test the silk if you like. I took off the inside label because I was afraid it would grab my hair when I took the hat off in the morning. I cut as close as possible without touching the silk with my tiny scissors. That would be my only negative - maybe a removable fabric content/care label? But that was the smallest problem. Thank you for this wonderful product. Oh I woke up with even straighter hair than when I slept in my usual synthetic satin cap. The silk had better temperature control - and that probably helps too. A wonderful hat. And remember that satin is a woven fabric, not a fabric - you can have silk satin and synthetic satin. This hat is lined with 100% real silk and the outer shell is so soft and thin in a good way - not bulky or heavy on the head. Really great gift!
