Review on 🔌 ViewHD VHD-1X2MN3D: High-Quality 2-Port 1x2 HDMI Splitter for 1080P & 3D by Russ Mashlan

I bought this splitter to connect a DirecTV receiver to an AVerMedia EzRecorder (ER310) as well as a Magnavox DVR. After scheduling the movie for burning on both devices, I found that it only existed on the Magnavox (because Magnavox allows you to burn even a DHCP encoded movie, although it prevents later transfer to DVD). However, the ER310 does not allow any recording at all and simply displays an event alert instead. Apparently this splitter lost the HDCP signal, preventing the movie from being stored on the ER310. For this reason, Revain's Choice's naming of "hdcp bypass" at the top of the list for ViewHD HDMI splitters is no longer accurate. To find the type of splitter I need I look at fitTek, Ckitze, KUYiA, SuperSan and Techole. Before I order any of these, I will carefully check the splitter listing for FAQs, reviews, specs, etc. to make sure it's not "DHCP Compliant", not listed as "DHCP v_._" or unique it says it "bars"/"bypasses" the DHCP signal. I'm hoping to find the most up-to-date, clear, and persuasive information possible so I can make a logical choice.
