The printer driver incorrectly reports the remaining number of images that can be printed from the cartridge. I had a 40" cartridge that was reported as empty after printing just a few images after the OS crashed on Windows. I found a workaround, but unless you're inclined to troubleshoot and keep track of how many images you've printed, you're going to be ripped off. The combination of paper and printer cartridge is not cheap. The software for Windows 2000 is terrible. When it comes time to upload photos on the fly from your camera, the automatic detection of the camera or memory card on the 2000 doesn't work unless you unplug and plug the device back in. The automatic detection works a little better on Windows XP. However, you must still remove the card from the camera and insert it into the printer dock. You can also connect the camera directly to a USB port using a separate cable. You cannot install the camera on the printer dock and download images that way. My first pad died due to a simple paper jam. He can't type anymore. I had to buy a second camera because I didn't want to buy another camera. The only positive is that it prints good images. But again, isn't that what you would expect from a device of this nature? My next camera/printer dock combo won't be Kodak, I can tell you that for sure.
