I recently moved into a dorm and the mattress is HORRIBLE. I speak hard and lumpy. I say waking up several times a night and trying to find a better position. This rug solved all my problems! I rarely wake up at night and certainly not from lumpiness! Three considerations: 1. I like a very firm mattress and this is a little softer than I would like. it's almost like a foam pillow. Still a huge improvement over a dorm mattress.2. It would be nice if there was a protective layer around the foam rubber. Not sure how it will hold up with long term use but I only need it for a year and I'm sure it will be fine for that.3. It's not as long as the mattress. This bed is full size and the pillow is about four inches shorter than a real mattress. I'm 6ft 1in and sometimes my toes get "noticeable" but overall after a few weeks of sleeping on this pillow I don't think it's a problem. If you're taller than me, you can do this.
