They quickly sent a replacement and put me in touch with the IT department to find out what the problems were. It seems that you have to delete the files from the computer yourself, otherwise the device will continue to recognize and save them. So, one of the problems was the problem with the lack of space on the device. On a MAC it's quite difficult to figure that out. After I did that things got much better and no information was lost. I am currently working with IT on other issues and am grateful that they have reached out. What a great company! The device clearly records in segments so you don't have to listen for 5 hours straight and it also plays on iTunes instead of VLC. It's very easy to use. I hope the date and time can be adjusted for MAC. Crossed fingers! I've updated the review to reflect everything!
