Big! Slight downside for reptiles and amphibians

It works amazing, love it! There's just one problem: the mesh "gates" at the bottom to prevent crickets and the like from getting in seem to have too small openings and don't let air/water through properly, meaning the pool sometimes gets sluggish dries up, even if the tower is standing full of water, it will not release the water until we tap it a little and it will flow out a little. However, a very small complaint, therefore still 5 stars :)

  • Great for me
Cons
  • Safety

It's a bit oversized for 10 gallons but perfect for larger tanks.

This product is a good buy overall, I had no problems with it, very easy to refill and clean. The only thing that bothered me was how unwieldy it was for a 10 gallon aquarium as I like to have multiple burrows, hiding places and tree branches for my geckos. This would be ideal for a larger tank with more room and is still workable for a 10 gallon tank, just holds a lot more room than a traditional reptile water bowl.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Expensive

Smooth non-slip high sides of the bowl

This product was of good quality and was easy to clean, fill and install, but my gecko didn't want anything to do with it and refused to drink from it and licked the cricket water pillows instead. The problem might be its height and smooth finish, if it were textured on the rounded sides she would probably agree to try it and try to crawl on it. It's not a bad or defective product, worth a try if that's what you're looking for, but it's not, at least not for my picky leopard gecko.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are flaws

Great water dispenser!

Very easy to use and delivers tons of water. The only thing you need to know is the angle of the surface it's sitting on. My daughter has mulch (or something like that) on the bottom of her gecko terrarium and we were gone for a week. The water was refilled but the water level was very low. But I think it was because the dispenser was tilted backwards *slightly* so it didn't get as full. As we moved it and noticed more water pouring out of it, it tilted slightly down towards the bowl. So just…

Clean water, 1-2 weeks between refills

Two purchased; one for the leopard gecko and one for the Herman tortoise. There is enough water for about two weeks for a gecko and a week for a turtle. This is great as I live in the desert and had to refill their old plates every other day. The water stays pretty clean and the clear bottle makes it easy to keep track of. The cup only fills halfway, but that doesn't stop the animals from drinking and is constantly refilled during their 6-week stay in the enclosure. Rinsing with vinegar has…

Easy to block but it's cheap.

Between the bottle and the tray is a piece with very small holes that the water filters through, but I regularly clog too much to flow on its own and I have to manually tip the product in to get that refill compartment. I tried removing the filter completely, but after a few days the dirt leaked out and without the filter it floated into the bottle and contaminated all the water so I put the filter back in. While it's a bummer. that I have to manually tip my water bottle every day instead of…

Don't forget to check in at least once a month

That's amazing, I have one for all three of my tanks! Now I only have to worry about water every two weeks instead of every day. Please remember that when you change the water you don't just add more, you need to clean properly every time! Water stagnates when it just stands no matter what, so to keep your pet from getting sick from moldy water, be sure to rinse it out from time to time. I do this every two weeks when it needs topping up, although it still looks and smells clean. that's where I

Great for playing with rats

I bought this waterer for my pet rats. I wanted something I could easily take out of their cage for them to access while allowing them free roaming. Works great for this purpose. It's strong enough not to be knocked over and they have access to clean water. They can't fit in the bowl without getting it dirty (unless they drop food in it). If it does, the filter will prevent it from going back into the bottle, making it easier to clean. The only downside is that you have to tip the bottle over…
