There is no thread as shown in the picture.

2 stars because they are so cute. However, they are very thin and do not have a rope as shown in the picture. The rope is why I wanted them to thread them through my son's jacket sleeves. Controversy over whether to keep them. He likes to play with them like puppets, but they're not worth it as mittens.
