So, i bought this product because i am very lazy and i need to be constantly distracted and entertained while i walk or jog stay motivated enough to achieve your long-term goals. Browsing the web while training is the only thing that has worked for me. I've invested in treadmills with screens and Netflix that cost thousands of dollars, but no matter how many features they may have, nothing beats the endless entertainment you get from a laptop with internet access. So my only problem was figuring out how to mount and secure my laptop onto the treadmill so I could run and type comfortably. I tried three different ways to solve this problem until I finally came to this product. 1. Plan: Velcro. That was my first approach to solving this problem. I bought some Velcro and attached one to the bottom of my Macbook and the rest to the front of the treadmill. Pros: A) Nothing. It was a terrible idea. Cons: A) My laptop now had permanent velcro on the bottom. B) The only place I could place my laptop was in front of my treadmill, which prevented me from seeing my progress and making adjustments. C) My treadmill's UI is tilted downwards, so any activity other than walking would cause my laptop to fall off the treadmill onto the floor. D) My treadmill interface is very low so I had to crouch to type while running. very cumbersome and counterproductive. 2nd plan: a table for a laptop. The second thing I did was buy a laptop table that would fit over the treadmill railing. Then the laptop lies on it. Pros: A) Lots of space to work. B) The Velcro keeps the table in place well. Cons: A) Although I could now see the UI, I couldn't reach the buttons because the table was between me and the treadmill screen. B) The tray table took up so much space that I didn't have enough steps to walk on it, causing me to fall off the treadmill several times. C) As with the Velcro, I also had to crouch and try to print and walk at the same time because the handrails on my treadmill were very low and the tray table couldn't be adjusted. Finally I bought this product and although it has some cons that I will mention, I will start with the problems that it solved for me. Pros: A) Fits both my 23 inch laptop and my small Mac. Both remain secure even on fast runs. B) Although the panel is between me and the laptop interface, so is the tray, since the laptop is on a vertical stand that slides left or right, it can be easily moved (even while jogging) so You can easily access the treadmill interface. C) The vertical stand that the laptop sits on is also height adjustable, meaning I can type at a very comfortable height while running (I find it most comfortable to adjust it so the laptop and keyboard are at chest height) . . It's also much easier to see a computer screen up close and at eye level than if you were sitting at a desk. D) The horizontal bar supported by the treadmill rails moves back and forth. The further you move it forward, the more space you have to run. Even though you have a treadmill with a relatively short tread (like mine) it will still be uncomfortable and you will still be consciously trying not to fall off the edge, but it is MUCH more comfortable with this product. than the tray table. Okay, let's get to the cons. Cons: A) It's a bit annoying that it doesn't come with all the tools needed to assemble it. You need a screwdriver. It's not that difficult, but spending an hour going through drawers and closets around my house to find it was impractical. B) Velcro straps! This is by far the biggest disadvantage. The way they designed those straps that wrap around the treadmill's arms was just poor engineering. First, it's a very confusing setup. Secondly, due to the weight of the product (it's heavy) the velcro is either starting to loosen (causing the laptop to tip over or fall) or causing the bar resting on the railing to move. (I had to stop several times in the middle of a run to adjust these straps.) Fortunately, the Velcro wraps around the rails on my treadmill, but some treadmills have very thick rails. If you have one of these then this product is completely useless unless you can find another way to attach it to your railing. They should have used some sort of vise or a much thicker and longer velcro with a simpler design like the straps on the trays above. To be honest I still think this is a 5 star product and I recommend it, but I had to deduct a star because the velcro straps we have are very poorly constructed and if they don't work, might You seriously damage your laptop and injure yourself.
