i'm just a man - New lighting

After reading about why I should consider Displacement Lighting I decided it was worth a try given the low price. When it comes to home theaters, I'm just a man, not a home theater god. I know enough to know where to put my speakers and how to calibrate them, what components I need to get the job done, and I know when something looks good and when it looks stupid. I installed it on the back of a 65 inch TV. supported by a TV stand in the corner of my room. Installing a corner TV might not be the best option, but it's the only option in my office. This places the back of the TV about 4 feet from the actual corner of the room. The light is powerful enough to illuminate this entire corner with a pleasing glow. When it comes to eye strain, I can't say I can tell a difference. I rarely watch TV for more than two hours at a time, so I'm not sure if that's long enough to tire my eyes. I can say that it saved me having to turn on a different light in the room while watching TV. The TV itself is very bright, and the addition of a large LED light strip on the back makes that corner of the room a little less bright than the sun. As with any adhesive, you will need to thoroughly clean the back of your TV before installing these lights. Since this is a TV, use common sense and don't use anything like a wet sponge.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
