Review on Logitech G G502 Hero Gaming Mouse K/DA by Adam Kaniuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Due to space DPI and sensor polling frequency, even banal mouse driving on the screen becomes several times smoother and more enjoyable. Shortly before buying this mouse, I bought a monitor with a frequency of 165 Hz, and for the first time moving a new mouse over it, I literally felt these 165 Hz with my hand. It is also worth noting that now all these mice are sold with a cable without a braid. But let's be honest, the braid will not protect the wire from chafing on the table, for this it is enough just not to pull the cord and keep it loose. And after a while, the braid turns into a fluffy fur coat from its own fibers and dirt and dust. I have been using the mouse for about two months. It is too early to talk about reliability, perhaps I will supplement the review after another four months.

Pros
  • Price. For my money at the time of purchase, perhaps the best and most functional mouse that you could take. Dimensions. Before that, I used the Razer Abyssus V2, which is very small, and I thought that the G502 would be much larger than it, but I was very surprised that they do not differ much in size, except that the G502 has a side-stand for the thumb. Of course, all this is as subjective as possible, and if you are pedantic enough in choosing a mouse, I advise you to first try it out with your hand in real life, and not with your eyes in the photo. Appearance. It also delivers: moderately aggressive, moderately restrained, geometrically proportional and technologically advanced. And if you watch the disassembly video of this mouse, you will see that it is also an engineering masterpiece from the inside. Functional. If you only need two buttons and a wheel, this mouse may not be for you. If you choose to have additional buttons, then the G502 is a great option, although not without flaws. Additional keys are programmed by the official utility for Windows, as well as third-party for Linux, but not as deep. Suitable for both gamers and ordinary users who want more functionality. Free scrolling of the wheel is also a definite plus, especially in those places where it is impossible to scroll using the MMB. In addition, it can be considered as a silent mode, albeit not very convenient for point scrolling. Weights are also included. The device is initially quite weighty, but you can make it even heavier in case of urgent need, I personally feel more comfortable this way. And the bottom cover on the magnet, under which the weights are located, allows you to change the weight of the mouse according to your mood literally in the blink of an eye.
Cons
  • The price may seem to someone biting. Although the appearance is beautiful, however, due to the large number of gaps, crevices and dimples, you will have to clean the mouse a little more often than usual. The location of additional buttons may not seem quite anatomical. For example, two vertical keys on the LMB do not say that it is convenient to press with the index finger, and the key for "aiming" is located exactly under the thumb. Speaking of the "silent" wheel scrolling mode, it should be understood that in the usual "clicky" mode, the scrolling is quite loud. If people in a sleeping state are often present on the territory of your house, they will obviously not like this sound.
