I bought this 1080p TV/monitor 2 months ago and it has worked very well. I have a PS3 so this is my first time using it to play games and watch TV series. Be careful when choosing cables when connecting this monitor. For example, when I played my PS3 for the very first time, it didn't look good. I used an HDMI/HDMI cable. The colors were very bright and the picture was so blurry. but ridiculous off. I was shocked that it produced such lame image quality. I grabbed the instructions and tried to calibrate it, thinking maybe with a bit of experimentation I could get a better picture. and I've never been able to set it to anything decent. I even considered returning it. BUT then it occurred to me that I have an HDMI/DVI cable lying around somewhere. I hooked it up and wow what's the difference. The image no longer looked too bright and the colors no longer faded. Everything looked perfect. I've been using this cable ever since. But that means you'll need external speakers for sound. although I don't know if there is any other cable that will allow you to play audio from your TV. I also have a "Macbook Pro" and am currently using it with the monitor while I type. I use the same HDMI/DVI cable as my PS3. When I first connected my Macbook to a monitor, the picture quality wasn't as good as looking directly at my Macbook's screen, but then I discovered something. I closed the lid of the laptop, "reset" the image and everything looked very clear. With the lid open, the picture didn't fill the entire screen, everything seemed distorted or blurry. I was so happy to see the drastic change with the lid closed :) That's it. I was a bit disappointed at first, but then everything became perfect. Many people would get it back after just 5 minutes of use. This TV/monitor also has many customization options. Each port has different settings. For example, when I plug in my Macbook and turn on the settings with the remote, I get "modes" like TEXT, INTERNET, ENTERTAINMENT, DYNAMIC CONTRAST. When I connect my PS3 I get things like MOVIE mode etc. The sound is ok I think. I almost never use TV sound because I have external speakers. I used it once when I hooked up a monitor to watch regular TV. I would recommend this TV/monitor if you have an HDMI/DVI cable.
